For Short Mat bowls tours there are a number of short mat clubs within a 45 minute journey from Bournemouth and some of these take in beautiful Dorset scenery on the journey. These include:
- Verwood Short Mat Bowls Club (at Verwood Leisure Centre)
- West Moors Short Mat Bowls Club
- Orca Short Mat Bowls Club in Poole
- Three Legged Cross Short Mat Bowls Club
- Braeside Short Mat Bowls Club
- Flight Refuelling Sports & Social Club in Wimborne
- Lytchett Minster Short Mat Bowling Club
- Six Penny Handley Village Hall Short Mat Bowls Club
In our experience most of these clubs have 2, 3 or 4 mats so for larger groups it is often preferable to play two matches on the same day at different venues or a ‘roll-up’ to give everyone in the party chance to bowl.
